As someone recovering from a difficult birth I needed something that felt gentle but still gave real support. LUMA got the balance exactly right.

Honestly a game changer. It holds everything in place, sits flat under clothes and doesn't roll down like cheaper ones I've tried. Feels really good quality. Already told all my mum friends about it
The LUMA Postpartum Belly Band is designed to support your body through every stage of the fourth trimester. Whether you've had a vaginal birth or a C-section, it wraps around your abdomen to provide gentle, graduated compression — reducing discomfort, supporting your core, and helping you feel held as your body heals.
Made from soft, breathable fabric that sits comfortably against sensitive postpartum skin. Discreet enough to wear under clothing all day, and adjustable so you can increase or ease support as your recovery progresses.
1. Open the band fully and position it around your bare abdomen, sitting between your hips and your ribs.
2. Fasten the Velcro closure at your preferred level of compression — start lighter and gradually increase as comfort allows.
3. Wear for up to 8 hours per day. Remove during sleep.
4. We recommend wearing it from day one postpartum, or as advised by your midwife, health visitor, or GP.
For C-section recovery: position the band above the incision site so no pressure is placed on the wound.
LUMA is available in two sizes:
S / M — waist 24–34 in (61–86 cm). Pre-pregnancy dress sizes 6–14.
L / XL — waist 34–44 in (86–112 cm). Pre-pregnancy dress sizes 14–22.
If you are between sizes, size up for comfort. The adjustable Velcro closure means you can tighten or loosen the band as your body changes throughout recovery.
Yes — LUMA sits above the incision site with no pressure on the wound. Always check with your midwife or GP first.

Trusted and recommended by postpartum specialists

"Following delivery I routinely advise my patients to use abdominal support during the early weeks of recovery. The band provides gentle compression that supports and reduces post-delivery swelling, and ensures abdominal wall stability while healing."

"In my experience the mothers who use abdominal support consistently in those early weeks recover faster and with significantly less lower back pain. The band gives exactly the right level of support without being restrictive."

The adjustable closure is brilliant — my size changed week on week and I could always find a comfortable setting. Feels like it was made for postpartum bodies.

The material is really high quality. I've had cheaper bands before that went bobbly after a couple of washes LUMA still looks brand new.

A friend gifted this to me and I genuinely didn't think I needed it. I was wrong. It provided so much comfort in those early weeks. Now I tell every pregnant friend about it.

I love that I can wear it under my normal clothes without it showing. Went back to work at 8 weeks and wore it every day — no one could tell and I felt so much better.

I was sceptical that a belly band would make much difference but I was completely wrong. The compression felt so reassuring in the first few weeks. Can't recommend it enough.
